Description
This trail accesses the Dark Harbour to Southwest Head section of the Lighthouse Trail.
This trail is a nice hike through the woods of central Grand Manan. It is an ATV trail the whole way that gets progressively more rough and wet.
Follow the trail for 370 metres and you will come to a junction. At the junction turn right. You will pass by a camp access road on the left. Continue straight past this road. You will then come to a pretty rough bridge over a stream.

At the next junction you will find the ATV trail splits in two. Look for the signs for Sloops Cove on the trail on the left. The trail continues through the woods and passes by a few boggy wetlands where pallets have been used as a sort of bridge. Soon after that you will come to a camp. If you are planning to go south on the Lighthouse Trail look for a trail with red markers on your left before you get to the camp. If you are planning to hike north then continue past the camp. The trail dips down and passes a grassy meadow before turning right.
