Directions

On Route 2 take exit 303 in Oromocto and turn towards Oromocto. At the first roundabout go almost all the way around and turn onto Gateway Drive. Shortly after passing Tim Hortons and Subway you will come to a small parking area on the right. Park here. The trail enters the woods on either side of the parking lot.

Description

The Gateway Wetland Trail is a short loop that circles a wetland. The trail is never far away from a road. A covered bridge crosses some open water near a beaver hut. Another long bridge crosses the wet ground along one side of the wetland. There are many wetland plant species and animals who call the park their home making it an interesting place to explore.
