City of Bathurst

Map

The City of Bathurst is located on the North-East shore of New Brunswick on Chaleur Bay. It is one of the oldest, continually occupied cities in the province. The first officially biligual cities in New Brunswick.

The Daly Point Nature Reserve has several trails and boardwalks that showcase the coastal habitat on Chaleur Bay. Youghall Beach has several boardwalks that provide access to the beach and that circle the point where the inner bay empties into Chaleur Bay. The Bathurst Waterfront Trails provide an interesting way to explore the city and provide views of Chaleur Bay.

The City of Bathurst is surrounded by beauty. The Nepisiguit Mi'gmaq Trail begins in the City and travels all the way to Mount Carleton Provincial Park on the other side of the province. This is a 141 kilometre trail along the Nepisiguit river and through the wilderness of northern New Brunswick. You can also check out Pabineau and Tetagouche Falls just outside of the city.
