The Lookout Trail is a short trail that drops down a small hill and emerges to the lookout and a very beautiful view. The trail is mostly covered in wood chips. A small cedar fence keeps people from getting too close to the edge of the drop-off. There is also a cement picnic table at the lookout so people can sit and enjoy the view to the south and west. You can usually find a guest book in a ziploc bag beneath the picnic table. Make sure you add your name to the list of visitors.
For directions to the Unique Area go to Ayers Lake Unique Area page.
The Lookout Trail is just off the end of the parking area at the peak to the right.
