Description
The Elsipogtog Heritage Tour is a guided experience in Mi'kmaq indigenous culture. The tour starts with a presentation of cultural practices and their significance. The tour then goes on a guided walk in the woods behind the cultural centre. Along the trail you will be pass by and be told about the teepee, long house and sweatlodge, and how they were used. The tour guide will also discuss several of the trees, plants and animals, and their historic uses. This is a great way to go for a walk in the woods and learn about the cultural history of indiginous people in the province.
Note that you will need to make reservations before you arrive.
