Description
Note: You can download the KML file (GPS) for this trail here.
The Méruimticook is the newest long trail being developed in the province. It starts in Edmundston, travels north through the Madawaska River Valley and then goes through the woods to Baker Lake. Future plans are to extend the trail for another 50 kilmetres to Glazier Lake on the US border.
Directions
The trail starts at the Madawaska Maliseet First Nation. There are many places to access the trail as it passes through Edmundston and continues along the Madawaska River Valley. When it leaves the valley there are several access points but these roads are forestry roads so road conditions could be variable.
