The Most Definitive Guide to Hiking in New Brunswick
I always love driving down into the Nerepis River Valley on my way to Saint John. The mountains and the cliffs rise above you as you get glimpses of the meandering Nerepis River on the left. Welsford is tucked into the valley where route 101 meets the main Nerepis River Valley. If you look up from Welsford you can see the cliffs at the top of Mount Douglas Bald. Close by Mud Stream flows over Welsford Falls and then flows into the Nerepis River. Further down the valley the larger Cochrane Lane Cliffs tower above the trees.
It is a beautiful valley with a lot to explore.
