On highway 1 coming from Saint John, take exit 56 towards St. George. At the stop sign turn left and cross over the highway. After 850 metres turn right onto Main Street. Drive for 2.7 kilometres and turn right onto Riverview Avenue. Just after passing under the highway turn left onto Adventure Street. You will enter the parking lot for the Adventure Centre. On the left side of the parking lot near the boat launch you will find the fancy arch that marks the trail head.
To get to the other end of the trail drive for another 500 metres on Main Street and keep right at the intersection near the post office. When the road turns back to the left continue straight on Portage Street. At the bottom of the hill by the river you will find the arch marking the other end of the trail.
The River Trail is a wide, crushed rock trail that starts at the Adventure Centre in St. George. The trail travels along the Magaguadavic River on the opposite side as the Marsh Trail. The River Trail starts by going under the highway overpass and then travels past a small wetland before going behind the buildings on Main Street. There is an access trail that climbs a hill on the left to access Main Street. The trail soon comes to an arch near a boat launch marking the end of the trail. There are several benches along the trail and great views of the river.
