This trail starts at a parking area overlooking Upper Duck Pond. On my visit there were several men out in the mudflats digging clams or some other kind of sand loving creatures. They used big scooped rakes to dig in the sand and pull out their treasure. It was interesting to watch.

Narrow boardwalk on the Upper Duck Pond to Fox Farm Meadow Trail

The trail travels a short distance through the woods along Upper Duck Pond. Upper Duck Pond turns into a wide, grassy wetland. The trail comes out to several benches overlooking the wetland. The trail travels along the edge of the wetland as the wetland narrows in and turns into more of a pond. At this point the trail travels through a mossy spruce forest with lots of Old Man's Beard hanging from the branches.

The trail eventually comes out onto the Duck Pond Multi-Use Trail. Turning left will take you a short distance to Fox Farm Meadow. Turning right will take you out to a dome bog overlooking Lower Duck Pond. This trail can be combined with the Cranberry Point Trail to make a loop.

At the Visitor Centre near the bridge, take the road at the back of the parking lot. Keep right at two junctions and you will come to Fox Farm Meadow. Continue through the field and just after entering the woods stay left at a split in the road. You will soon come to a parking area overlooking Upper Duck Pond. Park here. You will see the sign pointing to Fox Farm on the left. This is the start of the trail.

To access the other end of the trail, park by the wide crushed rock trail on the left in Fox Farm Meadow. This is the Duck Pond Multi-Use Trail. Follow this trail for a short distance and it will take you to the Upper Duck Pond to Fox Farm Meadow Trail on the right.
