Town of Sackville

Map

The Town of Sackville is a small University Town on the edge of the Tantramar Marsh, in the southeast corner of the province. It is a mix of forest and fields, wetlands, and mudflats. The Sackville Waterfowl Park is in the middle of town. The trails and boardwalks loop around a large pond where you will find all kinds of ducks. Across the highway is a similar park behind the High School. The Tantramar High School Wetland Trail circles around another pond with several lookouts for duck viewing. One side of the Tantramar High School Wetland Trail is an old rail bed trail that goes all the way to Port Elgin.

You can also explore the Bay of Fundy mudflats from the Dyke at Westcock Marsh, or the forests to the north of town at Beech Hill Park.
