Description
The Roots Trail climbs up on a ridge and runs roughly parallel to an old road. It travels through a mix of spruce and hemlock forest that is quite open. The trail meanders through numerous deep depressions in the ground. I am guessing these are created by the gypsum underneath dissolving faster than the other rock. As its name implies the trail also has lots of roots.
