Atlas Park

Map

Description

Atlas Park is built around Atlas Lake, a man-made lake that used to be a deep quarry mine. Once the site was abandoned it quickly filled with water forming this small deep lake.

The Hummingbird Trail is the short trail around the lake. There are several other trails that loop through the surrounding forest. There is also a small trail that goes through a Botanical Garden near the interpretive Centre.

Directions

Take exit 333 on Route 11 between Beresford and Belledune. Turn east towards Pointe-Verte on Rue-de-la-Gare. Travel for 4.7 km and you will come to the park entrance on your right. Enter the park and travel a short distance. There you will find a small parking lot on your right before the interpretive centre.
